Valentine's Festivities

Each holiday that comes and goes is becoming more and more fun with Santiago around.  I can't wait until Gabriel enjoys everything as much as Santi does.  It makes my heart so full to see his excitement for everything.  Santiago had a cute little Valentine day party at MDO and made the little bag in the above picture to collect his valentines from his friends at school.  He LOVED taking each one out when he got home to show to me.  And yes he isn't wearing any pants.  My boy likes to shed them as soon as he gets in the door at home.  Thank goodness it's only at home! ha! He made this card for his Daddy and me at MDO and was so excited to give it to me when I picked him up.  He colored the outside and they put a cute picture of him in a firefighter uniform from when the fire department visited them at MDO.
On the 13th we hosted our Moms of Tots group at our house for another Valentine celebration.  Gillian and her son Reuben, Kristin and Hayden and Liz and Evan came over to decorate bags and exchange valentines.  We also ate yummy doughnuts and brownies, drank coffee and enjoyed some grownup conversation while the boys played in Santiago's playroom.
The also had a blast playing with Santiago's train table in his bedroom.  Excuse my pictures - I think the lens was dirty because they all came out blurry in the same places!
We tried to get a picture of all the boys together on the couch but it was REALLY difficult to get them all to sit still and look at the camera! That's to be expected with two and three year olds though!
Gabriel had a grand time watching the big boys and loved sitting in his brother's lap for the picture! You can see him trying to turn around and grab his brother!

This last picture is a canvas that I made for Hector as a Valentine gift.  I found the idea on Pinterest! It has Gabriel and Santiago's handprints with their age written on top.  I'm going to hang this in the boys bathroom because the colors match perfectly!  Santiago and I also made some other handprint and footprint pictures for gifts.  He had a blast with the paint!

Mercer Arboretum - Moms of Tots

We have been enjoying many playdates with our Moms of Tots group.  I'm really late posting these pictures because we met at Mercer Arboretum about two weeks ago to walk around and let the boys play.  I am loving each and every meetup we do with this great group of moms and kiddos! It's pretty cool that it is a group of mostly little boys with a few really cute girls sprinkled in.
Santiago had a blast walking around and pointing things out to us and "reading" every sign to the moms to tell us which way to go next.  He wanted to balance on things and splash in the water!
Gabriel loved it too riding around and enjoying the beautiful scenery from the stroller.  It was a little chilly out so he had to be bundled up!  I want to have some family pictures taken here one day in the spring.  It was really beautiful but I bet it will be even more pretty when everything is in full bloom.

The boys got a kick out of watching a squirrel jump from the feeder to the tree behind it.  I don't know if you can see the squirrel on the feeder in this picture but Santiago's face is priceless!

Santiago, Hayden and Evan enjoyed racing each other down the brick path.  I'm glad no one fell down!

And of course the boys will be boys climbing on and leaning over the ponds edge trying to touch the fish and lily pads!

After walking around for a little over an hour, my boys were both very tired and hungry.  I tried to get a picture of all of us together but as you can see they weren't too happy about it! TIRED is written all over their sweet faces!

Morning Cartoons

My boys love just being together. Gabriel is getting stronger and stronger and he can sit up real well with support and almost has it without support. The boppy pillow offers just the right amount of support for him. Santiago loves that his baby brother can sit next to him now. He wants Gabriel to do everything with him! I have to remind him all the time that Gabriel is a baby and he's learning new things all the time and will be able to do more with him real soon.

Santiago's newest cartoon love is Max and Ruby on Nick Jr. and Gabriel seems to love it as well. I don't remember Santiago being interested in tv as much as Gabriel is at this age, but then again I never had cartoons on when Santi was this little! It's a whole new world with an almost 3 year old in the house! I sure love my little life and being home with my boys to enjoy cartoons while we eat breakfast!

Momma Watch Out!

These two boys absolutely adore each other and I'm beginning to get a little taste of what my future has in store for me being a mother of two boys. If I leave Gabriel on the floor, Santiago is always by his side. I love that they can already entertain each other, but I'm not so sure I'm ready for the wrestling to begin! But ready or not, it's already coming....
