Santa Claus

Last Saturday Hector and I took Santiago to meet Santa Claus. We waited for 2 hours in the Woodlands Mall and although the wait was long - it was entertaining to see all the kids dressed up to meet Santa. We lucked out because Santiago stayed happy the whole time even with missing his nap because we were out and about and the mall was such a busy place to be. He didn't want to close his eyes for one second in fear he would miss out on the excitement. When it was finally our turn I really thought Santiago would cry as soon as I sat him on Santa's lap but he didn't. The camera guy was having a little problem so we had to wait a second and in the meantime Santa got thirsty so he got up to get a drink. While we waited on the camera guy, Santa talked to me and Santiago a little bit. Santiago had the chance to warm up to him, touch his beard, and smile at Santa Claus so when I sat him down and walked away he was just fine. Hector did something silly to make Santiago smile and everyone watching let out a big "awww" when Santiago smiled for the camera. We got a great picture! Hopefully Santiago smiles every year when he meets Santa and stays on the "nice" list.
