Library Time

Yesterday I took Santiago to Lapsit at one public library and today we went to Toddler Time at another.  I am trying to take Santiago to as many fun things as I can this month.  I like the library because he is getting exposed to many great things - other kids his age, reading, singing and dancing.  It's fun and it's free!  I didn't have my camera with me yesterday and I wish I would have because after story time Ms. Shawn had a baby pool for the kids to play in outside.  We usually get to water the garden outside in this area but it was really fun to see all the babies and toddlers in the pool and sprinkler playing together.  I forgot Santi's swimsuit so I just took off his shirt and shoes and let him play in his shorts.  Lots of other babies did the same.  It was fun!

Today we went to the library in Tomball and Santiago did not enjoy the story time as much as he does at the Barbara Bush library but he does like the toys and stuffed animals around the kids section of the library.  I think I may have been a little judgemental being a teacher/reading specialist but the lady who led this toddler time just could not keep the kids engaged at all.  She read 3 really long books and didn't sing at all.  We then did a craft for Father's Day.  It wasn't really age appropriate either so all the moms had to do it for their kids.  Like I said - maybe I'm too judgemental!  Anyways, it was fun to see all the kids together interacting.
