Scootin' and Tootin'

Time is flying by so quickly and it seems that each day gets a little bit busier. I wish I could spend every minute of the day with my two boys but since I have to be a working mom that just isn't possible. Hector and I joke all the time about winning the lottery and how sweet it would be if we could just stay home and play with Santi all day long but we don't even play the lottery! So that's not going to happen! ha! I know I have said it before but the best part of my day is leaving work and getting to pick Santiago up. I can't get home fast enough - I can't wait to hug and kiss him.

Santiago is getting bigger and stronger every day. I'm pretty sure crawling is going to be his next big accomplishment because he is learning how to scoot himself on the floor and roll from place to place. He has begun to stick his little booty straight in the air and inch like an inchworm! If I place him up on his knees, he can balance for a little bit but he hasn't quite figured out how to get himself on his knees. He can push up on his hands, head and feet and move himself around a bit. It's so neat to watch him develop and get stronger. Something that makes me laugh every single time it happens is that Santiago will toot when he is turning over or scooting in one direction. He will look at me after it happens and his facial expression is always priceless. First, it seems like he is saying "Momma whatcha laughing at? That wasn't me!" and then he will smile and laugh with me. It's so STINKIN' cute! ha!

Santiago absolutely loves Roxie. Here they are kissing each other! I think she is going to start loving him more really soon when he starts dropping little bites of food on the floor for her!

With Hector and I both being teachers, we are being extra careful about washing our hands after work. We both need to go get our flu shots and I need to get Santiago one also. There has been several cases of swine flu at Hector's school and one for sure in my grade level at my school. Santi isn't due to go back to his pediatrician until November when he is 9 months old but I think I will call to see if we can come in for a flu shot. Better to be safe then sorry!
